Macmillan Fundraising event

Posted on October 6, 2013 at 4:09 PM Comments comments (44)
I performed last night at The Ballymac Hotel in a fundraising event for Macmillan Cancer Care.  This is the 2nd event that I have participated in for the Hailstone family in aid of Macmillan since the loss of their mother, Noreen, to cancer.
From this devastation, they have joined together to gain a positive outcome.  Friends and family in the local community have contributed in the fundraising efforts.  The family will continue their fundraising and plan for Michelle and Margaret to participate in the Macmillan Great Wall of China Challenge in the near future.

On Saturday night the amount raised was £2025.  The Hailstone family have been fundraising for over 6 months and set their target to £12000.  From their dedication and hard work they have achieved this target and more, gaining a grand total of £13000!!!  I must congratulate them on their inspirational hard work, well done!

Carol and Martin

I had the privilege of playing at the wedding of Carol Kavanagh and Martin Corry on Friday at the Ramada Hotel.  A beautiful venue for a beautiful bride and groom.  They really did seem to have the perfect day and night on their big day.  They have now just headed off to New York and Mexico on their honeymoon.  I hope they have a great time and I wish them both a happy and long life together xx

Wedding performance at Annalong Presbyterian Church

Here's a couple of pictures from a wedding I played at this week in Annalong Presbyterian Church.  Congratulations to the newly-wed Mr and Mrs Graham.  They had a beautiful day with glorious weather and had a lovely selection of music at their ceremony.  It was an experience for me to play my harp at a church with a full band (including a drum kit!), but it was a great experience at that!  I wish them all the very best in their future together.

Exam results have arrived in for some of my pupils this week.  I am very proud of all of them and their hard work.  All the harpists have received distinctions in their grades and I could not be happier for them.  Well done guys!
